The four steps, and why the order matters

Most facial routines are a list of products. A ritual is a sequence of intentions, and the order is what makes it work.

Prepare comes first because skin needs slip. Oil on damp skin lets the tool glide instead of drag, which is the difference between a massage and a pull.

Release comes before sculpt. The jaw, the brow and the temples hold tension from a day of screens and unspoken sentences. Working a tight muscle upward achieves very little; softening it first changes everything that follows.

Sculpt is the part everyone knows: upward and outward, along the jaw, the cheek, the brow. Light pressure, repeated, is better than firm pressure once.

Return is the step people skip. Sit still for thirty seconds. Notice that the face feels warmer and looser than it did. That noticing is the point — it is how a routine becomes something you keep.
